Tree Climbing

Today Alexis and daddy went tree climbing. They had a blast. We will definitely do this again.

RAH RAH RAH

Alexis started cheerleading today. It is special needs cheer out in Shelby Twp. The link to the Cheerleading center is ion the right. Her group is called "The Pride of Trilogy". The first competition is October 18th. Although the special needs team never really competes, they do perform. We are very excited. I will keep you updated on her cheering.

Our first pumpkin

Daddy and Alexis had quite the garden this year. There were lots of strawberries, green beans, corn, potatoes and carrots. They even managed to grow a pumpkin. We are sure the squirrels will be very happy to have this on the porch. Next year we are going to try for more.

Mom watch 2009

The first 2 pictures are from Thursday. The last one is from today. Mom went to the Doctors for her ER follow up. She has been in little to no pain in her face and head, but has had massive pain in her knees. It has been very hard for her to either stand or to sit. The process of having to bend the knee (mostly the right) has been awful. The doctor took knee x rays (which were never done in the ER) and found what looked like a fracture. We were about to get into an Orthopedic Surgeon within an hour of her x rays at the family doctors. The findings are that she has a fractured patella. Thankfully it is not a through and through break. She will have to wear a brace/immobilizer for the next six weeks. She says the brace has already made it feel better. Also the Surgeon thinks there is close to a pint of blood in her knee. I think this should have been checked in the ER since she is on blood thinners, but what do I know.....

I will up date with any other news.

On a different note Alexis lost another tooth today. She lost one about 2 weeks ago and has lost a total of 4 teeth in 4 months. She has just made it difficult to eat apples and corn on the cob. Oh well, such is life.

My mom's fall

Well tonight my mom went out to dinner with a friend. On their way in my mom tripped over the parking block and landed on her knees and face. She is doing pretty good. Her knees are VERY sore and she is feeling tremendous pressure in her face. These are the pictures I took in the ER. I will update with others as she bruises more.

Weighted Blanket

Well I finally made Alexis a weighted blanket. I am hoping that this will her her to stay asleep all through the night. She usually wakes up about 4 + times a night, so we will see.

On another note...fundraising has started. Alexis is selling from the Frankenmuth Fundraising company. Anyone that is interested in buying something needs to let me know by 9-21-08. Thank you !!

On Saturday Alexis lost her last front tooth......so we celebrated at chuck e cheese. At this rate it would have been cheaper top do the whole tooth fairy thing.
